U12's Victorious In Grand Final

Dodgers 12U took down Scots-Falcons U12 10-6 on Sunday in the U12 2024 Grand Final.

Dodgers 12U got on the board in the first inning after Henry S was struck by a pitch, driving in a run. Ethan C walked, which helped Scots-Falcons U12 tie the game at one in the bottom of the first.

A double by Mitchell M gave Dodgers 12U the lead, 2-1, in the top of the second. Dodgers 12U scored five runs on zero hits in the top of the third inning. Isiah P drew a walk, scoring one run, Kamden S drew a walk, scoring one run, and a wild pitch scored two runs.

Henry S started the game for Dodgers 12U. The starting pitcher surrendered five hits and four runs over three innings, striking out six and walking two. Chad S opened the game for Scots-Falcons U12. The pitcher gave up one hit and four runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out eight and walking three. Rupert S appeared in relief for Dodgers 12U. Henry S and Mitchell M each collected one hit for Dodgers 12U. Isiah P and Mitchell M each drove in one run for Dodgers 12U. Aidan S led Dodgers 12U with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying 12 walks for the game. Henry S, Will P, Kamden S, Will M, Cade A, Isiah P, and Aidan S each stole multiple bases for Dodgers 12U. Dodgers 12U ran wild on the base paths, accumulating 27 stolen bases for the game. Dodgers 12U didn't commit a single error in the field. Will M had the most chances in the field with six. Chad S and Ollie H each drove in one run for Scots-Falcons U12. Ollie H led Scots-Falcons U12 with two hits in three at bats. Scots-Falcons U12 had patience at the plate, tallying seven walks for the game. Kayden B and Ethan C led the team with two walks each. Harland C, Kayden B, and Ollie H each stole multiple bases for Scots-Falcons U12. Scots-Falcons U12 stole 16 bases in the game. Scots-Falcons U12 didn't commit a single error in the field. Kayden B had the most chances in the field with eight.

U14 Devils Three-Peat in GF Win

Dodgers U14 Devils defeated Falcons/Scots U14 12-6 in the 2024 U14 Grand Final on Sunday thanks in part to eight runs in the second inning. Sioeli Parsons singled, scoring one run, Hamish Kelly doubled, scoring two runs, Blake Hando singled, scoring two runs, and three runs scored on another play. Falcons/Scots U14 opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two singles. Falcons/Scots U14 first got on the board when Jonothan Peters singled, scoring one run. Dodgers U14 Devils tied the game in the bottom of the first thanks to a double by Hamish Kelly, and a single by Josh Robinson. Dodgers U14 Devils extended their early lead with two runs in the bottom of the third thanks to RBI walks by Pia Amsing and Hamish Kelly. Hamish Kelly led things off on the hill for Dodgers U14 Devils. The starting pitcher gave up five hits and four runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out eight and walking three. Samson Corry led things off on the mound for Falcons/Scots U14. The hurler gave up eight hits and 10 runs (nine earned) over one and one-third innings, striking out two and walking two. Blake Hando appeared in relief for Dodgers U14 Devils. Hamish Kelly drove the middle of the lineup, leading Dodgers U14 Devils with two runs batted in. The number three hitter went 2-for-2 on the day. Hamish Kelly and Will Dashwood each collected two hits for Dodgers U14 Devils. Josh Robinson, Pia Amsing, and Sioeli Parsons each stole multiple bases for Dodgers U14 Devils. Dodgers U14 Devils ran wild on the base paths, collecting 15 stolen bases for the game. Dodgers U14 Devils were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Pia Amsing had the most chances in the field with eight. Mason Strahan and Taylor Hanna each collected two hits for Falcons/Scots U14. Mason Strahan, Lachlan Bramley, Samson Corry, and Jonothan Peters each drove in one run for Falcons/Scots U14. Taylor Hanna, Edyan Hatzigiannis, and Jonothan Peters each stole multiple bases for Falcons/Scots U14. Falcons/Scots U14 stole nine bases in the game.

Tigers Lose Heart Breaker in U16 Grand Final

​Dodgers U16 Tigers fell 7-5 to Bendigo East U16 on Sunday despite out-hitting them four to three. Hamsih Kelly led Dodgers U16 Tigers with two hits. Bendigo East U16 opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two passed balls. Bendigo East U16 first got on the board when a passed ball scored one run. Dodgers U16 Tigers captured the lead, 3-2, in the bottom of the first when Travis Shanahan singled, scoring two runs, and Darnel Marks was struck by a pitch, driving in a run. Dodgers U16 Tigers added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Hamsih Kelly singled, and Bendigo East U16 committed an error, each scoring one run. Bendigo East U16 flipped the game on its head in the top of the third, scoring five runs on two hits to take the lead, 7-5. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Paddy Entwistle-McGowan that drove in two. Archer Etherington earned the win for Bendigo East U16. The hurler gave up zero hits and one run (zero earned) over two innings, striking out four and walking four. Travis Shanahan took the loss for Dodgers U16 Tigers. The hurler went three innings, giving up seven runs (six earned) on three hits, striking out seven and walking seven. Asha Murphy stepped on the mound first for Bendigo East U16. The starter surrendered four hits and four runs over one inning, striking out three and walking two. Hamsih Kelly and Travis Shanahan each drove in one run for Dodgers U16 Tigers. Dodgers U16 Tigers had patience at the plate, piling up six walks for the game. Tommy Williams and Charlie Dennis led the team with two bases on balls each. Hamsih Kelly stole three bases. Dodgers U16 Tigers ran wild on the base paths, piling up eight stolen bases for the game. Paddy Entwistle-McGowan went 1-for-1 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Marcus Murphy set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading Bendigo East U16 with two hits in two at bats. Bendigo East U16 had patience at the plate, tallying seven walks for the game. Ollie Blythe and Archer Etherington led the team with two walks each. Paddy Entwistle-McGowan, Marcus Murphy, and Archer Etherington each stole multiple bases for Bendigo East U16. Bendigo East U16 ran wild on the base paths, amassing eight stolen bases for the game.
