Dodgers Clinch Game 1 with Strong Team Effort

Dodgers were triumphant over Falcons 9-4 on Sunday at Ken Wust Oval in Game 1 of the best of three Grand Final Series.

Falcons got on the board in the first inning after Bailey Waterman hit a solo home run to left field.
Dodgers flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the third, scoring six runs on four hits to take the lead, 6-1.
Aaron Petri started on the hill for Dodgers. The southpaw surrendered seven hits and four runs over seven innings, striking out four and walking three.

Darryl Muns stepped on the bump first for Falcons. The starter gave up seven hits and eight runs (two earned) over three innings, striking out five and walking three.

Anthony Amsing went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Dodgers in hits. Callum Bolton collected two hits in four at bats while Rod Baulch stole two bases. Dodgers played tight defense turning one double play in the game and committing just one error compared to Falcons four.

Bailey Waterman went 2-for-3 at the plate and led Falcons with three runs batted in. Bailey and Nathan Larsen each collected two hits for Falcons.
