Dodgers 1's Win Tight Game With East

Both teams were strong on the mound on Saturday, but Dodgers 1's defeated Bendigo East 1's 2-1.

Callum Bolton started the game for Dodgers and recorded 15 outs.

Dodgers didn't take the lead until later in the game. The game was tied at one in the top of the fourth when Duncan Lever singled, scoring one run. Bendigo East 1's got on the board in the first inning.

Tyson Cox singled to the right side of the infield, which helped Dodgers tie the game at one in the top of the third.

Callum Bolton stepped on the mound first for Dodgers 1's. The left-handed pitcher gave up two hits and one run (zero earned) over five innings, striking out four and walking three. Charlie Hay opened the game for Bendigo East 1's. The starting pitcher allowed five hits and one run over three innings, striking out none and walking none.

Tyson Cox went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Dodgers 1's in hits. Duncan Lever and Tyson Cox each drove in one run for Dodgers 1's 2025. Tyson Cox stole three bases. Brad Huggard and Gibson Mitchell each collected one hit for Bendigo East 1's.

6 Run 5th Inning Leads to Comeback Dodgers Win

Dodgers 2's trailed by as many as five, but came back to top East 2's on Saturday, 7-6.

Dodgers didn't take the lead until later in the game. The game was tied at six in the top of the fifth when Eden Hardy singled, scoring one run. Dodgers were the first to get on the board in the first when Jack Warner hit a solo inside the park home run.

East 2's flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the second, scoring six runs on four hits to take the lead, 6-1.

The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Dave Ranten that drove in two.

Dodgers took the lead in the top of the fifth inning after Eden Hardy singled down the right field line, Travis Shanahan singled down the right field line, Jack Warner doubled down the right field line, Steve Skipper singled to center field, David Dez Mennie grounded into a fielder's choice, and Eden Hardy singled down the right field line, each scoring one run.

Eden Hardy earned the win for Dodgers 2's. The hurler surrendered two hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out one and walking one.

Nigel Close took the loss for East 2's. The pitcher went four innings, surrendering one run on four hits, striking out two and walking one. Travis Shanahan started on the bump for Dodgers 2's. The hurler gave up five hits and six runs (five earned) over two innings, striking out one and walking four.

Dodgers piled up nine hits in the game. Eden Hardy, Steve Skipper, Travis Shanahan, and Jack Warner each collected two hits for Dodgers. Eden Hardy and Jack Warner each drove in two runs for Dodgers.

Dave Ranten and Brad Murphy were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for East 2's. Gradon Castle led East 2's with two hits in two at bats. East 2's didn't commit a single error in the field. Brad Murphy had the most chances in the field with nine.
